Ho Chi Minh City Extends Social Distancing Curbs according to Directives No.16 after August 15th
On August 13th, the Permanent Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Mr. Phan Van Mai decided HCMC will continue to apply city-wide social distancing measures under the Prime Minister’s Directive 16 after August 15th to prevent complicated developments of COVID-19 in the city. According to expectation, this Social Distancing Curbs will be extended until at least September 15th or further relying on many different levels of COVID-19.

Besides that, citing the coronavirus situations in other countries, where outbreaks persist complicatedly even four or five months after the peak has been reached, Mr. Mai warned that the coronavirus situation in Ho Chi Minh City can last a long time, so every citizen should prepare both material and spirit for “a protracted resistance war” against Coronavirus outbreaks.
