A bank of activities for teaching productive skills in a student-centered classroom

On December 21, 2020, TDT Creative Language Center organized a workshop: “A bank of activities for teaching productive skills in a student-centered classroom”, with the participation of lecturers from TDT CLC.

The workshop was presented by Mr. Kim Pilger, an educational expert with over 20 years of experience teaching in different countries such as Canada, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Participating in the Workshop, the speaker and attendees shared and practiced activities to make a classroom truly effective in a student-centered model. Teaching languages in the 21st century requires teachers to be creative in designing activities to meet diverse learning needs. In addition, the activities need to be practical to help learners apply the knowledge they have learned in daily life, not just in academic classrooms.

At the end of the workshop, TDT CLC gave Teacher of the Year and Teacher of Distinction certificates and awards to the lecturers with high scores in the 2019-2020 Academic Year. This is an annual activity of the Center to recognize lecturers’ outstanding contributions to the University, the Center and students.
