How to protect yourself and prepare for the COVID-19

The World Health Organization has declared the coronavirus a pandemic, and the number of cases continues to rise worldwide. These basic steps can help you reduce your risk of getting sick or infecting others.

Staying at home/ dormitory if you can: Even if you have no underlying health conditions, and no symptoms, be extra cautious to protect other people

Hand hygiene using hand sanitizers or soaps: Wash for at least 20 seconds and dry. Make sure you get your thumbs, too

Stay informed: Knowing what is accurate can protect you and your friends

Don’t stockpile masks (Unless you are already infected, face masks won’t help)

Here are some definitions for your information:

  • F0 - a person who is positive with Covid-19.
  • F1 - a person suspected to be infected or exposed to people positive with Covid-19
  • F2 - a person in close contact with F1
  • F3 - a person in close contact with F2

Immediately contact the SGS or you can contact the Ministry of Health directly if any of the symptoms are suspected: fever, cough, shortness of breath.

  • SGS: 0906 765 365 (Ms. Quinn)
  • Ministry of Health: 1900 9095 or 1900 3228

Or in case you are one of the above subjects, please contact the SGS immediately and inform us about your schedule.

We are always ready to assist you and keep in mind that you will always be honest about your travel schedule in case you intend to leave out the dormitory or Vietnam.
