THE SHARING OF A SOPHOMORE RESEARCHER AT TDTU

Babalola Olusola Emmanuel has shared some thoughts on his journey of doing research at Ton Duc Thang University:

After the successful completion of my first academic year at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), Vietnam, It’s indeed a great pleasure to share my memorable and unforgettable great experiences at TDTU. Firstly, I want to use this medium to appreciate the rare privilege accorded me to run my Ph.D. programme in Structural Engineering with a 100% full scholarship. It’s indeed highly cherished.

My Ph.D. programme at TDTU has in no small measure afforded me several wonderful opportunities. My programme is going on fantastically well, especially with the current support and supervision I enjoined from my two seasoned research supervisors in my department.

Asides, the university, under the able leadership of Prof. Le Vinh Danh has just recently approved an internship programme for me at the Testing and Quality Assurance Department of TDTU, this opportunity will provide me the experience about the work done and activities in an international university’s non-academic environment, particularly, as it concerns study programme’s accreditation, curriculum content development, and Quality Assurance in an internationally recognized university like TDTU.

More important, and also on a lighter note, I can now express myself almost fluently in Vietnamese, this is nonetheless made possible through the award of a full scholarship for my Vietnamese language course which I passed and got certified at B1 grade level. Generally, I am very happy I chose running my Ph.D. program at TDTU because of the consistent and increasingly display of the high level of academic excellence in all ramifications which is evident in her steady rise in the world universities rankings by many notable international ranking organizations as well as the conductive environment for both my academic and extra curriculum activities.

My experience here has been wonderful. I am most grateful.
