PhD candidate Pham Huu Ly successfully defended his dissertation at the  training institution level

On August 25, 2024, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held an evaluation of the  dissertation for PhD candidate Pham Huu Ly, (ID: 196217002) in Electrical Engineering (Major code: 9520201).
He is the first PhD candidate majored in Electrical Engineering to successfully defend his dissertation  at the training institution level with the topic “Optimal power flow for hybrid systems considering uncertainty of renewable energy sources” under the guidance of Dr. Nguyen Trung Thang (TDTU) and Dr. Dinh Hoang Bach (TDTU)
Mr. Pham Huu Ly has been accepted as a PhD student from the 2019 admission season, and has completed the workload as follows:  

  • Completion of doctoral modules: 12 credits
  • Research proposal: 04 credits (8.5/10.0)
  • Research topic 1: 03 credits (9.0/10.0)
  • Research topic 2: 03 credits (8.0/10.0)
  • 02 articles published in WoS indexed journals.
  • Completed the defense of doctoral thesis at the management units
  • Complete the independent dissertation examination.

The doctoral thesis of PhD candidate Pham Huu Ly was approved by the members of dissertation examination council of a training institution with a total of 07/07 votes.
Speaking after defending his thesis, PhD candidate expressed his deep gratitude to his instructors, the Presidential Board, the Faculty of Electrical & Electronics Engineering and the Department of Graduate Studies for supporting the students during their study and research at the University.
