The Faculty of Electrical & Electronics Engineering receives automation control equipment
On the afternoon of 13th March 2020, Aumi Industrial Equipment & Automation Company Limited (Singapore), the officially authorized unit of SICK Sensor Intelligence Industrial Equipment and Automation Company (Germany), awarded a special practical equipment package to the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
Attending the Ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Ha, Head of AUMI Representative Office in Vietnam; and Mr. Duong Duy Thai, the Representative of Marketing Department of SICK Sensor Intelligence Company. TDTU side has Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President; Dr. Dong Sy Thien Chau, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering; and lecturers teaching the Automation and Control Engineering major of this Faculty.
The funding package, including industrial sensors that are worth more than 270 million VND, will be used by the Faculty for the purpose of researching and developing practical devices for students with the Automation and Control Engineering major.
Speaking at the Ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Ha highly appreciated the competence and working spirit of TDTU graduates currently working at the Company’s factories. She said that AUMI is ready to coordinate with the University to train and receive students to participate in the internship course. In addition, AUMI hoped to recruit more excellent students of TDTU.
Funding for practical equipment is the first step in the cooperation program between AUMI and the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In the coming time, the two sides will continue to deploy other cooperation programs, including conducting joint research, organizing scientific seminars, etc.
