The Consulate General of India visited and worked at Ton Duc Thang University
On the afternoon of June 22, 2023, Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi - Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City visited and worked at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
Dr. Tran Trong Dao - President of Ton Duc Thang University, Dr. Dinh Hoang Bach - Director of the International Cooperation, Research & Training Institute, and the heads of related faculties and institutes welcomed the delegation.
At the meeting, Dr. Tran Trong Dao had discussions with the Consul General about developing cooperation plans with universities and research institutes in India, especially in the field of information technology, construction technology, and environment. The two sides also discussed the content of cooperation in joint programs, internships and scholarships for students to promote cultural exchanges and connect the two countries' academic communities. In addition, TDTU has shown the willingness to be a bridge between provinces and cities wishing to cooperate comprehensively with Indian businesses to help the parties approach and implement investment promotion activities.
Currently, TDTU has 2 Indian Ph.D. students studying Civil Engineering who are expected to defend their thesis at the University level. The meeting opened up many opportunities for cooperation between TDTU and universities in India as well as contributed to the development of educational relations between the two countries, especially welcoming more learners from the most populous country in the world to Vietnam.
