Automatic extension of temporary residence for foreigners affected by the Covid-19 epidemic

The Immigration Department of Ministry of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has the honour to advise the latter to support and facilitate foreigners stranded in Vietnam due to Covid-19 as follows:


1. To continue "automatic stay extention" for foreigners until July, 31st, 2020 (subjects and forms prescribed in paragraph 1 of the Diplomatic Note No 6345/QLXNC dated May, 19th, 2020 sent to Embassies/Consulate General). During the "automatic stay extension" period, foreigners are required to complete temporary residence and health status declaration.
