Achieving Master's degree is the threshold to pursue Doctoral program

After graduating with a bachelor's degree from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and University of Architecture Ho Chi Minh City, I immediately think about opening a construction company and I have successfully accomplished that goal and so far, my Viet Thanh Construction Design Co., Ltd has developed stably. As the company’s director, I am quite busy with the company’s operation and construction of townhouses, villas, offices, cafes, billiards.

However, in a chance meeting with a high school friend who is very passionate about scientific research and is currently working at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), she has inspired me to pursue my dream of studying master's degree in Civil Engineering, I spent two years doing the master's program and was honored to receive a master's degree in Civil Engineering from TDTU in May 2023.

After receiving my master's degree, my passion to conduct research motivated me to apply for the Ph.D. program. I am fortunate to have the support and encouragement from my family, friends, professors and lecturers of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, I have successfully defended my research proposal for application to enter the program and finally received an invitation to enroll the Ph.D. program in Civil Engineering at TDTU in June 2023. The path to earning a Ph.D. degree will remain many difficulties and challenges, but with determination and confidence in my competencies and the University’s education quality, I will work to fulfill my goal of conducting scientific research and graduating from a doctoral program soon.

Dr. Bui Quoc Bao enthusiastically guided the master's thesis and was an excellent supervisor for me to pursue a career in study and research.

All professors of the Faculty of Civil Engineering have nursed, supported and created all favorable conditions for me to graduate on schedule and continue the Ph.D. program from 2023.
