Emmanuel Nduka Amaefule Journey with TDTU and final defense of his master’s degree dissertation
Emmanuel Nduka Amaefule, a Nigerian master's student, began his studying journey at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) in September 2018 with the full scholarship in the masters' program major of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, TDTU.
Upon arrival at TDTU, he kicked off his academic year by taking a Vietnamese language course, which was mandatory for international students enrolling in the master's program. After one year, he obtained the B1 level to be qualified for entering the master's program according to TDTU's regulation.
His hard work and constant attendance earned him a good grade in all courses, and especially under the supervision of Dr. Huynh Van Van, he completed an ISI publication titled “Highly robust observer sliding mode based load frequency control for multi-area power system with renewable power plants".

So far, he has enjoyed successful academics with the support from lecturers, staff and the edifies facilities of TDTU. He has also admired the beauty, food, culture, and cities of Vietnam, especially Ho Chi Minh City. His favorite quote says, "If I can make it this far in TDTU then you can also make it too regardless of where you are from or your race that TDTU is none partisan to racism or color rather than it is an opportunity ground to build your profile.”
On the 3rd of April 2021, in the presence of internal and external committee members, he defended his dissertation titled “Load frequency control of power system with renewable energy” under the same guidance and supervisor of Dr. Van Van Huynh. His score was so great that the committee gave him the highest score which is grade 10.
