International joint training program
1. PROGRAM OVERVIEW
If you wish to enhance your employability in the international labor market, gain diverse academic and cultural experiences, and obtain internationally recognized qualifications, we invite you to explore the program presented below.
This is a joint training program with an international university, under the academic framework of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), consisting of two Phases: Phase1 in Vietnam and Phase 2 at the partner university abroad.
Students will complete Phase 1 (1 year) at TDTU and then transfer to Phase 2 (1 year) at the partner university.
Upon graduation from the partner university abroad in Phase 2, students will be awarded a degree issued by the partner university, equivalent to that of full-time international students (with no distinction between degrees awarded to full-time students and those who complete only Phase 2 abroad). In addition, students will also be awarded a degree by Ton Duc Thang University.
2. PROGRAM BENEFITS
- Obtain an international degree equivalent to full-time overseas study at significantly reduced cost, thanks to scholarships and tuition incentives offered by partner universities for TDTU students;
- Be awarded two international degrees – one from TDTU and one from the foreign partner university;

3. Eligible Applicants
Candidates admitted to the full-time master’s program in Applied Mathematics at Ton Duc Thang University who have an English proficiency level of at least B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) or an equivalent and wish to pursue the International joint training program.

4. Program Overview
4.1. Duration, mode of study, and Instruction language
4.1.1. The standard study plan for the full-time program is 2 years (01 year at Ton Duc Thang University and 01 year at the University of L’Aquila)
Phase 1 (1 year):

Students study 31 credits in the curriculum of Ton Duc Thang University (25 credits of compulsory courses and 06 credits of elective courses).

The expected class schedule at Ton Duc Thang University: evening classes during weekdays (no more than 3 periods per evening) and Saturdays;

Students who complete 31 credits at Ton Duc Thang University and obtain an internationally recognized English language certification at the B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference, or an equivalent qualification, and fulfill other requirements of the program will be eligible to transfer to Phase 2 at the University of L’Aquila, Italy.
Phase 2 (1 year)

Students study 60 credits (ECTS) according to the training program at L'Aquila University, Italy (including 36 credits (ECTS) of the compulsory courses and 24 credits (ECTS) of the elective courses).

Students must achieve an A2 level of Italian proficiency as per the requirements of L'Aquila University in order to receive a degree from L'Aquila University.
4.1.2. Mode of study: Full-time
4.1.3. Instruction language: English. However, for courses specific to Vietnam, in order to obtain a degree from Ton Duc Thang University, the instruction will be in Vietnamese.

4.4 Degrees: Students who complete the training program and graduate will be awarded the following degrees:

Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from Ton Duc Thang University.

Master's degree in Mathematical Engineering from L’Aquila University.
4.5. Estimated tuition fees, administrative fees, and scholarship policies
a. Estimated tuition fees:
Phase 1: 35,030,000 VND/student/year. The tuition fees will be updated annually based on Ton Duc Thang University's tuition policy.
Phase 2: Students are exempted from tuition fees. Each student is required to pay an administrative fee of EUR 400 per year. This administrative fee will be updated annually according to the policies of the University of L’Aquila, Italy.
